DESCRIPTION

Introducing our heavy-duty, powered skew kit with 3-inch slewing drive and Hall Effect motor. Now you can add feed skew motor control to any of our commercial mesh antennas.

Simply bolt the skew assembly kit to the antenna mount and add skew motor control to your antenna.

Powered skew control allows for the reception of both microwave polarities using a single orthomode waveguide feed. This can be advantageous if you desire the maximum C/N ratio of both polarizations without resorting to more complex and more expensive dual orthomode feeds which will always have a lower C/N.

Powered skew adjustments will also help mitigate 5G and other terrestrial interference by helping you find the optimum skew angle for maximum signal gain with minimum interference.

NOTE: Requires a controller to count Hall Effect pulses and provide power to the motor. We recommend using a Raspberry Pi as the controller and any 24V DC power supply. You may also use a modified SuperJack/VBox II type positioner to interpret the pulses. However, we do not provide any electronics or programming assistance. Commercial controllers are available but are quite expensive.

NOTE: You are responsible for setting physical and software limits to prevent any damage to the antenna or cables.

NOTE: You can add powered azimuth (sold separately), powered elevation (sold separately) with powered skew for a fully motorized (Az-El-Skew) antenna. The ultimate antenna for surveying the sky!

NOTE: Wire connections are indicated in the technical specifications below. Do NOT mix up power wires with sensor wires.
